Being Here
The Art of Being Here
Chairs wait to be occupied, lights illuminate familiar corners, and a slice of cake becomes a small celebration.
In this collection of paintings, Sibylle Laubscher explores the poetry of everyday life. Through expressive brushwork, unexpected perspectives and vibrant colour, ordinary scenes become worlds of their own, full of movement, atmosphere and untold stories.
Moving between observation and imagination, between figuration and abstraction, these works invite us to look more closely at the familiar and discover the extraordinary within it.
A selection of these new works will be on show in Basel from mid-November.
A celebration of human connection, the beauty of small moments and the simple pleasure of being here.
