Commission an Original Artwork

Some things are too special to be captured in an ordinary photograph.

A beloved pet, a favourite place, a treasured memory or someone who means the world to you. Imagine having that story transformed into an original work of art, created especially for you.

I love bringing personal ideas to life through painting and drawing. Whether you have something very specific in mind or just the beginnings of an idea, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

How it works

1. Tell me your idea

Every commission begins with a conversation.

Get in touch and tell me what you have in mind. We'll discuss your ideas, the size and medium of the artwork, and any particular wishes you may have.

Once I understand what you're looking for, I'll provide a quotation and an estimated completion date.

2. Let the creative journey begin

When you're happy to go ahead, I'll ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your commission.

I'll also need any relevant reference material, such as photographs, sketches or other details we have discussed.

I usually allow approximately 3–6 weeks to complete a commission, depending on the size and complexity of the work and my current schedule.

3. Your idea becomes a work of art

Now comes the exciting part!

I'll begin creating your artwork, keeping you informed as it develops.

While your wishes and ideas provide the starting point, the artistic interpretation is mine. I want to create something that goes beyond a photographic likeness, bringing my own use of colour, composition and expression to the subject.

The result will be a genuinely original artwork, made by hand, with character, feeling and a life of its own.

4. The finishing touches

Once your artwork is complete, I'll share the result with you.

If any small adjustments are needed, we can discuss them together. The remaining balance is payable upon completion, before collection or delivery.

Your artwork will be carefully wrapped and securely packaged. You are welcome to collect it from my atelier in Arisdorf, Switzerland, or we can discuss suitable shipping arrangements. Shipping costs are additional.

And then your original artwork is ready to begin its new life with you!

What could you commission?

Perhaps you have a particular idea already. If not, here are a few possibilities to spark your imagination:

• Portraits of people and pets: A much-loved dog, cat, family member or someone you would like to remember in a special way.

• Homes and favourite places: Your house, a cherished holiday destination, a beautiful view or somewhere that holds wonderful memories.

• Caricatures and cartoons: A playful portrait, a memorable occasion or something guaranteed to bring a smile.

• Illustrations, posters and designs: An original image for a project, product, event or business.

• Murals: A unique painting to transform a wall into something extraordinary.

And if your idea doesn't fit neatly into any of these categories, all the better. I'm always interested in hearing about new possibilities.

A few things worth knowing

Each commissioned artwork is created especially for you and is therefore non-refundable.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion.

As the artist, I retain the copyright to commissioned artworks unless otherwise agreed in writing. I may also use photographs of the finished work in my portfolio, on my website or for promotional purposes. If privacy is important to you, please let me know so we can discuss this beforehand.

Shipping is charged separately and will be arranged according to the size and nature of the artwork.
