Shades of Blue - Original Artwork

Regular price

A quiet interior, a world of stories waiting to be discovered.

An inviting blue armchair takes centre stage, its rich turquoise and cobalt tones contrasting with the warm ochres and terracotta of the floor. Behind it, two mysterious female figures appear in posters, bringing an unexpected human presence into the room.

Shades of Blue explores the relationship between art, space and the imagination. The empty chair suggests a moment of absence, perhaps someone has just left, or someone is about to arrive. Meanwhile, the figures on the wall seem to inhabit worlds of their own, creating a dialogue between the real and the imagined.

Expressive brushstrokes, subtle shifts of colour and a playful composition give the painting both energy and stillness. The cool blues create an atmosphere of contemplation, while the warmer colours bring the interior to life.

The painting invites us to pause and consider the stories that objects and images carry, and the invisible presence of those who have passed through a space.

An original contemporary painting that combines bold colour, atmosphere and a touch of mystery. A distinctive artwork for collectors who appreciate expressive interiors and paintings that leave room for the imagination.

On display for the first time since its making in Basel from mid-November
