Mountain World Collection: climb a mountain without leaving your sofa!
I'm delighted to present my new Mountain World collection on my website - now you can enjoy a view from 1200m above sea level without leaving the comfort of your home. You can travel to the Swiss alp, enjoy the interplay of clouds and mountain, dream your dreams as you decide which is moving more, the sky of the earth. This is definitely a cost effective way of travelling, broadening horizons and enjoying vistas you have not seen before. Read how it all came about below.Read more →Painting at 2100m above sea level
I am looking forward to spending a week in Graubünden from Saturday, painting on an alp 2100m above sea level in the Safiental. I have been lucky to be able to do this for several years now. Its absolutely wonderful. I will be adding my collection "Mountain Worlds" to my webshop in August/September. Let me know if you want a sneak peak!Read more →My journey to becoming an artist
I am deadly serious about being an artist. It is a world still governed by men. My art is female. I am a woman. However, is it any less valuable for that? The pressure to conform to life as a woman - concentrate on your home, your children - is huge and comes from women just as much as from men. Especially in rural Switzerland. To want to succeed as a female artist is not really something anyone would gladly own up to - the first question I am always posed is, "can you make a living from it?" Would you ask a male artist this? Can I as a female artist paint flowers? Or am I then conforming to being a woman?
So thank you for reading this, thank you for supporting a female artist.
