Do you watching clouds dance across the sky, lit by the sun? Waving your arms joyfully in the breeze?

I was very lucky to be able to paint en plein air at 2100m above sea level in Graubünden, Switzerland, without interruptions from the outside world for a week every summer from 2019 - 2022. I could focus my senses completely on the panorama and my reaction to it in the painting.

When you wave at clouds, will they wave back at you? If you look at this painting, enjoy watching the grasses wave at the clouds and feel soothed by the movement and light that fills this painting. 

Behind the alpine hut where I stayed is a steep cliff, under which I stood to paint this upward perspective. I always seek to capture the numinous, the indescribable in my work because I am convinced material has spirit and spirit has material... 

This piece is mounted in a cardboard mount using acid free tape. I will send it to you carefully wrapped in cardboard and tissue paper so it can't be bent.
