My Grandfather and I
Why not add a quirky still life to your wall? Make people curious and create a sense of wonder?
Are you a woodworker?
Then some of these tools may be familiar. My Grandfather was a wheelwright - meaning he made carriages and ladders for the local farmers. He also made the little wheelbarrow. This is his "box of tools". The mirror indicates a portrait of myself. I loved playing in the wood shavings in his workshop - which is now my atelier. Where it used to smell of freshly cut wood it now smells of oil paints!
I will send it to you lovingly wrapped in cellophane, in its cardboard mount and carefully packaged between sheets of cardboard.
