A Swiss village transformed by the quiet beauty of snow.

A gentle blanket of snow covers the rooftops, gardens and streets of Arisdorf, a small village in the Basel-Landschaft countryside. Bare branches stretch across a pale winter sky, while soft pink, blue and grey tones give the familiar surroundings an atmosphere of stillness and calm.

In It's Winter Outside, Sibylle Laubscher captures a fleeting moment when the everyday landscape becomes something extraordinary. The snow softens architectural forms, quietens the village and reveals subtle harmonies of colour and light.

In the foreground, snow-covered plant pots and delicate pink bunting introduce unexpected touches of colour and warmth. Beyond them, the village houses and trees create a gentle rhythm of shapes, drawing the viewer into the wintry scene.

Painted with expressive yet sensitive brushstrokes, the work celebrates the beauty of an ordinary place seen with fresh eyes. There is a sense of intimacy and belonging, of knowing a landscape through the changing seasons.

An original contemporary landscape painting that captures the peaceful atmosphere of a Swiss winter and the quiet poetry of village life.

A timeless artwork to bring a sense of tranquillity, light and connection to the natural world into your home.
