Cupid
Do you love nothing more than smooching around some world class art? Enjoy looking at the work of master craftsmen and women? Has cupid recently sent you one of his arrows?
This lovely little guy was inspired by the figure of cupid made by Étienne-Maurice Falconet for Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory approximately 1761-3. Even at the time of making they were joking about him picking his nose! It was quite a challenge to draw him without making him really do this.
He was exhibited as part of the Inspiring Walt Disney exhibition at the Wallace collection and he just caught my fancy! Does he catch yours? Then enjoy his cheeky cupid presence in your home. I will send him to you framed in his box frame (included in the price).
