Can you hear the birdsong? Do you love a waterlily too?

This lovely painting shows two birds conversing with a blooming waterlily below. I painted it in our garden, the two birds are a ceramic sculpture made by Martine Odier and real birds love joining them on their pew to crack open the seeds from the bird feeder.

Sometimes there are a few birds sitting in a row and its difficult to pick out the real ones! The pond is very small, however teeming with life. There's a waterlily which flowers once or twice if we're lucky and in spring plenty of newts.
