Mountain World II
Do you love watching clouds? Enjoy being enchanted by the many shapes and colours they can wear, especially when they don't quite make it right up into the sky?
I was very lucky to be able to paint at 2100m above sea level in Graubünden, Switzerland, without interruptions from the outside world for a week every summer from 2019 - 2022. I could focus my senses completely on the panorama and my reaction to it in the painting.
This delightful little piece of work shows how the mountains look during the day - I just love it when a cloud "falls" down to midway. You can enjoy this view without the trouble of ascending and see how these massive beauties of the earth come alive as you look at the painting.
Painted in mixed media (water colour, crayons, pencil, wax crayons) on card it is mounted floating using acid free tape onto backing card. This is then framed in a wooden box frame. A delightful piece for any mountain lover, and great if combined with other mountain vistas. Travel up a mountain without moving from your sofa!
