The Rosebush
Do you have a favourite rose? Or a special rosebush you love?
This delicate reductive linocut print will add an artisan handmade flair to your room, and the lingering perfume of these exquisite roses.
Made from a drawing of the David Austin "Alan Titchmarsh" rosebush in my garden in full bloom.
This print was extremely challenging to make, building up many layers of colour and was a real labour of love. It is printed entirely by hand without a press. The paper here was hand-made in the "Basel Papermill Museum" and this is the only print of this rosebush on this paper. The inks used were oil based, water soluble printing inks. It is one of 12, though all are on different paper and every one is slightly different. A true labour of love.
You may want to frame this floating - so you can see the edge of the paper. Therefore I will send it to you rolled and wrapped carefully in tissue paper. I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many years to come.
