I burn for women’s rights and equality. As a former president of the Women’s Career Network in Vienna and a female artist, I’m deeply aware that women are still underrepresented in the art world.

That sense—of not always being taken seriously because I’m a woman—sometimes finds its way into my work. This kitchen sink, for example, caught my eye with its lovely colours and gentle shapes… but look closely. Can you spot the man in the background? A bit of a shady presence.

In 1950s Britain, a group known as the Kitchen Sink Painters painted everyday domestic life. This particular sink, though, sits at 2100 metres above sea level—where I painted each summer from 2019 to 2022. A surprising setting, and now preserved here as a piece of household art.

Why not hang it in your kitchen? I love having art there—it lifts the mood. And look! No washing up required.

Sent carefully wrapped in cellophane and sturdy packaging, ready for framing.

"Seit dem ich im Sommer den sehr inspirierenden und fundierten Kurs bei Sibylle besucht habe, nehme ich die Farben der Natur viel kräftiger und ihre Formen viel klarer wahr" Nicole
