Do you enjoy a mountain view? Ever felt you are moving mountains? Watched the sun set and the magical light that it brings?

I was very lucky to be able to paint at 2100m above sea level in Graubünden, Switzerland, without interruptions from the outside world for a week every summer from 2019 - 2022. I could focus my senses completely on the panorama and my reaction to it in the painting.

Of course, I could sit in the sun all day and read an exciting book. But I realise what an honour it is to be able to do this and to be there, so I want to take full advantage of it.

The possibilities are endless. Just like art. And art must show more than what is, otherwise it is only copying. It must show what is possible, increase nature to what it could be. Create a new world with colour, form and movement. That is what I always try to do. It is a challenge that gives me a lot of pleasure.

And I hope the work you find here conveys this feeling of immersion, freedom and wide horizons. So you can immerse yourself in the artwork and enjoy these sensations at home.

Drawn using Crayon D'Ache coloured pencils on cardboard it is mounted floating using acid free tape onto backing card. This is then framed in a wooden box frame. A delightful piece for any mountain lover, and great if combined with other mountain vistas.

"Seit dem ich im Sommer den sehr inspirierenden und fundierten Kurs bei Sibylle besucht habe, nehme ich die Farben der Natur viel kräftiger und ihre Formen viel klarer wahr" Nicole
