Mythical Abstraction

These pieces are currently not available in my web shop. Should you fall in love with an original artwork, please contact me.

Working with myth and fairy tale for the past few years has influenced my abstract work - this is work very close to my heart, because it comes out of me, seen by my inner eye so to speak. Even when I use sketches to help compose these images, they are only loose props.

Drinking from the River Lethe
Oil on canvas, 90 x 70cm, 2026

This piece was inspired by the Myth of Er found in the final book of Plato’s Republic, where before souls are reborn, they choose the life they wish to lead, their Daimon and then have to drink from the River Lethe in order to forget their choice.
