«Vorfreude» Exhibition Zum Schmale Wurf, Basel
Spring & Summer Art Exhibition in Basel – Sibylle Laubscher at Zum Schmale Wurf
Celebrate the arrival of spring and summer with new works by Swiss-British visual artist Sibylle Laubscher, exhibited at Zum Schmale Wurf in Basel from 7 April to 26 May 2026.
Opening reception: Saturday, 11 April, 3–6 pm
Sibylle Laubscher creates poetic, expressionist artworks that explore the relationship between humans and nature through color, form, and movement. Her process is deeply rooted in everyday moments – from painting gifted flowers to capturing impressions after a swim – transforming fleeting experiences into lasting visual stories.
Her work is driven by an intensive drawing practice and a strong engagement with art philosophy, resulting in atmospheric and emotionally resonant compositions.
In 2025, she was awarded a scholarship from the City of Salzburg for the International Summer Academy, and in 2026 she was selected for the prestigious Turps Banana Summer Intensive in London.
Alongside her artistic practice, she also teaches, offering courses such as “Inspiration Nature – unleash your imagination in a dreamlike garden” at the Volkshochschule beider Basel and in her studio.
For Sibylle, art is more than creation – it is a vital force that connects us all.
