Do you love Basel? Then this is for you!

I spent a day wandering around Basel with the intention of sketching various ideas - focusing on the more female aspects of the city. From these sketches I then produced this joyous woodcut print - handprinted in my studio without a presss. It moves, it draws your eye around the piece... and kept in simple black and white to make a monochrome statement on your wall. It is printed on handmade Japanese paper. It is an edition of 12.

Please note: hand printing and hand burnishing means every print is a little different - just like us! Because I am not a machine. 

Hand burnishing results in a more delicate, irregular image, making it more alive. It sings!

I will send it to you carefully wrapped in cellophane with cardboard backing, or in a roll, either way making sure it arrives at your address in pristine condition.
