I was inspired by Eleanor, Queen of Austria looking at me from a painting by Joos van Cleve hanging in the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna. I sketched the painting and back in my atelier, worked my sketch into a woodcut. I'm interested in making prints that come alive when you look at them, you wonder who she was, how she spoke, would you have liked her? No two prints are exactly the same - they are all hand printed!

I will send this print to you with cardboard backing, carefully wrapped in cellophane so it arrives safely.
