Every enjoyed hiking up a mountain? Looking at craggy peaks wondering how they came to be?

This arresting piece of work from my "Mountain World" collection shows how the mountains look during the day with the clouds playing around them gently. Look at the mountains long enough and you can see them change colours, the clouds move all the time. You can enjoy this view without the trouble of ascending and see how these massive beauties of the earth come alive as you look at the painting. 

Painted in oils on canvas it is rare, because I only take ONE canvas with me every summer I spent painting at 2100m above sea level in the Swiss alps.

I prime the canvas 3 times with gesso and nail the edge by hand. A delightful piece for any mountain lover, and great if combined with other mountain vistas.
